Quantum Machine Learning

About

We now know that quantum computers have the potential to boost the performance of machine learning systems, and may eventually power efforts in fields from drug discovery to fraud detection. We're doing foundational research in quantum ML to power tomorrow’s smart quantum algorithms. Join us with Travis Scholten from IBM Quantum to explore more!

Speaker

Travis L. Scholten works as an Applications Architect at IBM Quantum. In this role, he leads an effort helping clients learn and understand how quantum computing integrates into their workflows. Prior to this, Travis worked as an Applications Researcher at IBM Quantum, where he collaborated with startups and enterprise organizations. Before joining IBM Quantum, Travis received a Ph.D in Physics 2018 from the University of New Mexico, and a B.S. in Physics in 2012 from Caltech. In addition, Travis sits on the Board of Directors of the Unitary Fund, a non-profit helping create a quantum technology ecosystem that benefits the most people.
